The main mission of the game is to uncover what happened to the cosmic city of Atum. To complete it, a variety of diverse characters are available to choose from. The task is extremely challenging, especially considering the presence of hordes of mutants.

The map is divided into different segments of the cosmic city. Each segment has several levels of difficulty, varying in enemy composition, strength, and quantity.

A gameplay session consists of 20 stages, each lasting approximately 2 minutes. Between stages, players acquire new skills and enhance existing ones.

Throughout the levels, the hero is constantly surrounded by enemy hordes, which attack from all sides. Enemies possess different attacking skills and behavior patterns. Bosses appear for the first time at the end of stage one, right after the portal opens. Starting from stage four, bosses also start showing up halfway through the stages. This continues until stage 20, where the final boss appears.

Levels are generated based on randomly generated cells. This means that each stage occurs on a procedurally created level. Levels feature interactive objects that both the player character and enemies can interact with, for example, large circular saws that can damage both the player character and enemies.

Boosters that can influence the outcome of battles can be found on levels. Among them are invincibility, enhancements, magnets, and first aid kits. Sometimes special crates containing extra skill points for skill advancement can be found on levels.

The player's arsenal includes a variety of weapons: rifles, circular saws, swarms of self-guided missiles, napalm drones, and much more. In addition to weapons, skills such as jumping, dashing, and firing rate can be upgraded. At the beginning of the game, 4-8 skills are available. As goals are achieved, dozens of different skills and new characters are unlocked.

Various resources can be found on levels. They can be exchanged for different skills in the meta-game. In the meta-game, players are between gameplay sessions, and each new gameplay session usually starts with more abilities and stronger characters.

Characters have different weapons and unique characteristics. Playing as each character requires time to master, as the mechanics of each character are unique. We create diverse characters to cater to different players.

The game is based on a combination of skills and high replayability. The entire game design is created so that each gameplay session is unique and it remains interesting to play the game again and again, for dozens and hundreds of hours.

Atum's Abyss is still under development, so mechanics and other components may be subject to change or refinement during development.
